Gift of Love

We are blessed that Pastors and members of Bedok Methodist Church, Singapore especially Christina had again embarked on this project to place daily necessities like toiletries, stationery, footwear, etc. into the Gift of Love bags which are usually shared with their families.

Indeed,

it is better to give

than to receive.

Christmas Hampers

Thank you so much everyone who had made this mammoth task a reality.

Just look at the happy faces of these slum dwellers who had a decent Christmas dinner received from you which consisted of rice, spaghetti with sauce, corned beef and cheese, cooking oils, cupcakes, drinks, etc. not forgetting their favourite Maling luncheon meat. This meal is a luxury to these precious people.

The five photos below represented the different areas we are serving:

1. AROMA, TONDO

2. LAS PIÑAS CITY

3. PULO

4. BULACAN

5. KIDS WITH CANCER

Your donation had made this possible for them. THANK YOU AGAIN!

Enkindle

Adamson Computer Engineering Society (ACOES) together with OSGP (Ozanam Study Grant Program) from Manila,
held their outreach activity entitled “Enkindle: A Walk to the Path of Light through Service and Engagement”
on December 3, 2017, at Oikos Helping Hand.

With the theme “Be of Service, Volunteer, Advocate, Care”, ACOES and OSGP officers instilled hope to the unprivileged children of Tondo through a series of games, dances, story-telling, gift-giving, feeding program, hygiene etiquette and other recreational activities. ACOES also have paved a way to teach Helping Hands’ OJT students the basics of computer and Photoshop.

The event indeed was filled with
so much fun, laughter and compassion. ACOES and OSGP officers were most humbled to be able to touch the hearts of the youngsters that will hold a milestone for the rest of their lives.

We hope many more learning institutions, organizations
and companies would follow
the example of this university
to be a channel of encouragement to these children and youth.
